Network marketing is a great business model, but you have to understand what it is, or you're going to get chewed up and spit out faster than you would have ever imagined. When you are a network marketer, your work is to sell a product or service and to find other people to do the same thing. Then you get the retail agreements and some team commissions.
A network marketer's life can be filled with fine dining, travel, new experiences and great friendship. This lifestyle is if you are a professional and you know how to work the business properly. If you do not know how to work the business properly, do not have a good work ethic or are not good with people, then you are going to have a problem.
Whenever you are a professional at networking and marketing your services, you can write your paycheck and do whatever it is that you want to do. Unless you've built a large downline and have leaders in your organization, you are not going to be able to ride off into the sunset and forget your business while you're still collecting checks.
Buying the dream is important. Building your dream and seeing yourself as a professional is important, but what you need to remember is that you have to have the professional to have that dream. You still get out what you put into the business. You can not work two hours a week and think you're going to make thousands of dollars.
The best thing you can do is think about what you want out of your business, find a mentor, learn the skills and then go out there and put in massive action. When you do this, you make it much easier for your business to be a success so that you can begin to work toward the lifestyle of your dreams.
